Our company originated way back in 1932 when the founders began providing drywall, steel stud framing, and acoustic ceiling services throughout British Columbia and across Canada.

Now operating under the fourth generation of owners, this proud family business has expanded into three companies offering complete range of construction services including:

  • general contracting
  • demolition
  • steel stud and drywall

From the starting strip out to the finishing room clean, our pros ensure that our service is on point and that we complete your project on budget and on time.

TBI also specializes in construction management and are well suited to tackle your next commercial, residential project. With a portfolio of dedicated sub-trades and in-house teams, TBI is able to uniquely adapt to the demands of  whatever construction, service, maintenance and management challenges we are presented with.

Management Team

Russ MacDonald, General Manager

Russ has 20-plus years of experience in construction. As a member of the Turner family, his experience with interiors, steel stud and drywall is exceptional. As the leader of TBI, Russ ensures that all team members embody the organization’s core values and that clients’ needs and expectations are met every step of the way. Russ holds his team members, sub-trades and vendors to his personal high standards.

Nick Pot, Project Manager

Nick is a Red Seal Certified Level A Welder by trade, with extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Nick showcased his interest in construction after learning about TBI’s collaborative approach to project delivery, and their cohesive team-oriented culture. Nick takes a hands-on approach to estimating, project management and assisting in the organization’s management and operations. His personal drive and appetite for organizational management assists TBI to run smoothly and deliver the best products for our clients. By borrowing the skills and high-quality expectations from his previous experience, he is able to manage our clients and operations with a unique perspective.

William Crema, Site Superintendent

William is TBI’s quality control mandate in action. He has 30 years of experience as a Superintendent; he reviews drawings for accuracy and constructability, ensures schedules are met on site, coordinates all site subtrades, and completes the official handover to our clients. William embodies our values – he does not cut corners, takes time to educate our clients and train our younger team members, and is a perfectionist. You can count on William to be patient, be forthcoming with his knowledge, and be fair in all his dealings.

Don Beglaw, Maintenance Coordinator

For our commercial clients, Don is a key point of contact for on-going maintenance requirements. He also supports the estimating and procurement process for under construction projects. Don has a variety of interests; he has experience working as a millwright, he used to operate his own small IT company and now leads our maintenance division for our diverse commercial clients. When our clients call Don with a problem, they know he will be able to resolve it in a timely and cost-effective manner.
